What happens between the moment a biotherapeutic leaves its primary container and when it finally reaches the bloodstream? 🔬
Excited to share our new review paper, “From Molecule to Absorption: A Multiscale Framework for Subcutaneous Biologic Delivery,” just published as an invited paper in Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews as part of the special issue on Patient-Centric Biologic-Device Combination Products.
In this work, we introduce the Drug–Device–Container–Tissue (DDCT) framework — a unified multiscale approach tracing the journey of monoclonal antibodies from storage through injection to lymphatic absorption, integrating molecular dynamics, device mechanics, and tissue response as a coupled system.
